New York City Civic Engagement Commission (CEC)

The Civic Engagement Commission will enhance civic participation, promote civic trust, and strengthen democracy in New York City through the following programs:

Run a citywide participatory budgeting program The People's Money that let's New Yorkers decide how to spend public money in partnership with community-based organizations and civic leaders;
Provide language interpretation services at poll sites for limited English proficient New Yorkers through our Voter Language Assistance program; and
Provide assistance to community boards.
