"Created in NY"

The NYC Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment is proud to launch a new program, "Created in NY"!

New Yorkers are invited to choose their favorite vertical series from the five storytellers below. All five series will be shown at the first-ever ALZA Festival – NYC's first festival dedicated to vertical storytelling – where they will be featured in a "Created in NY" showcase and get the opportunity to receive a "Made in NY" award.

The festival will take place October 16-18, 2026, at AMC 19th Street.

"Created in NY" is the City's way of recognizing the next generation of filmmakers and creators living in NYC. Our agency and the Mamdani administration are dedicated to opening doors, developing talent, and making sure New York remains the best place in the world to build a creative career.

Public voting is advisory and helps inform MOME's final selection. MOME retains the full discretion in determining the award recipient. No purchase or payment is required to participate in the public engagement campaign.

Participation Rules for the "Created in NY" Public Engagement Campaign

The "Created in NY" public engagement campaign invites New Yorkers to show support for featured content creators participating in the ALZA Festival. Public voting is advisory only and helps inform the NYC Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment (MOME) in selecting the recipient of the "Made in NY" Award.

MOME administers the voting process on this webpage. The voting tool is designed to ensure that no personal information is collected, stored, or accessed by MOME.

Advisory Voting

Public voting is advisory and does not determine the award recipient. MOME retains full discretion in selecting the recipient of the "Made in NY" Award.

No Purchase or Payment Required

No purchase, payment, fee, or financial contribution is required to participate. This campaign is not a sweepstakes, lottery, or contest of chance.

Eligibility

Any member of the public may participate. Automated voting, bulk voting, or voting through bots, scripts, or other non-human mechanisms is prohibited.

Prohibited Conduct

Participants may not:

interfere with or disrupt the voting process
impersonate another individual
misrepresent the nature of the campaign
attempt to manipulate voting results
violate any applicable federal, state, or local law

Votes that appear fraudulent or inconsistent with these rules may be disregarded.

Privacy and Data Collection

MOME administers the voting process but does not collect, store, track, or access personal information, including names, email addresses, or phone numbers. The voting tool records only aggregated, non-identifiable vote totals. No information that can identify a participant is retained or associated with voting activity.
