The Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP) places victim advocates from Safe Horizon in each NYPD precinct, who specialize in working with victims of domestic violence and victims of other crimes. A police report is not required to engage victim advocate services. Please consult a victim advocate to learn about their confidentiality code.
