Residential Water Survey
DEP offers free leak surveys for the City's residential water and sewer customers. Water-saving shower heads, water-savers for toilets and faucet aerators may be installed in qualifying properties. Also, a written report of the survey's findings is provided to the owner.

Schedule of Water Conservation Seminars for Building Managers
The New York City Departments of Housing Preservation and Development and Environmental Protection are continuing to co-sponsor a series of introductory water conservation seminars for building managers, superintendents, home owners and the public.

Comprehensive Water Reuse Program
The New York City Water Board offers a reduction of water and wastewater rates for buildings that recycle much of their water and reuse it for toilet flushing, irrigation and make-up water for evaporative cooling towers. Detailed requirements of the Program are provided in Part VI Section 10 of the New York City Water Board’s Water and Wastewater Rate Schedule (PDF).
