The BYTES of the BIG APPLE base map datasets cover New York City's five boroughs. A variety of geographic features are available.

The MapPLUTO data are GIS datasets depicting the outlines of New York City tax lots joined with the PLUTO land use and geographic data. The following is a sample thematic map based on the Land Use field of the MapPLUTO data in the Jamaica neighborhood of Queens. The sample download is for the same area. Coordinates for these datasets are stored in NAD83 New York Long Island State Plane Feet (FIPS 3104). These files are schematic representations of the tax lots and should not be used for applications that require either engineering accuracy or precise spatial locations.
