DHS Commissioner Robert V. Hess Addresses Congressional Staff in Washington, DC - Commissioner Hess addressed Congressional staff as part of a briefing in the Capitol building in Washington, DC on March 12, 2007. Commissioner Hess was part of a panel calling on Congress to provide more funding and support for homeless and low income families and individuals. The panel, put together by the National Alliance to End Homelessness, asks the federal government to increase funding for homeless assistance grants, supportive and affordable housing and homeless youth programs.
