Who's Eligible
Local residents, area workers and people passing by the area of the WTC, who were exposed to WTC dust or fumes and are experiencing symptoms related to this exposure. This includes:
- Adult and child residents of lower Manhattan and some areas of Brooklyn
- Students attending schools and colleges in lower Manhattan in 2001 and 2002
- City employees, and
- Volunteers and people involved in debris removal and clean-up.
Patients are seen regardless of insurance status.
Note: The WTC Environmental Health Center
is not a screening program. The main purpose is to monitor and treat people who already have 9/11-related health problems.
The WTC Environmental Health Center has produced a video to help people better understand how the WTC disaster may have affected their health.
