Hazardous Product

Highly corrosive or highly flammable liquids (see Corrosive Products or Flammable Products) should never be disposed of in the NYC Municipal Waste Stream. Contact an appropriate private hazardous/chemical waste company, look in the Yellow Pages under Environmental Services.

Knives

Wrap knives or similar sharp metal objects in cardboard (such as a piece of cereal box) and secure with tape. Label the package "CAUTION: SHARP " and place with other designated metal, glass, plastic recyclables. For Home Sharps/Hypodermics, see Household Medical Wastes.
