Dads Take Your Child To School

On September 16, more than 100 students and their dads/father figures walked from University Settlement's Ingersoll Cornerstone Community Center to the Fort Greene Preparatory Academy at P.S. 46 and other area schools for DYCD's Dads Take Your Child to School (DTYCTS) event in Brooklyn.

DYCD, Scholastic, Inc., Healthfirst and Modell's sponsored the 8th annual celebration, which incorporates DYCD programs and initiatives, including the Fatherhood, Beacon, Cornerstone, Immigrant Families, NDA Youth, and COMPASS after-school programs. The gathering also supports DYCD's Fatherhood Initiative, which helps non-custodial fathers reconnect with their children and actively participate in their lives both emotionally and financially.
