New Fire Code for New York City
The Fire Department’s four-year Fire Code Revision Project culminated on May 28, 2008, with the City Council’s enactment of a new Fire Code for New York City. The legislation, Local Law No. 26 of 2008, was signed by Mayor Bloomberg on June 3, 2008.
