FDNY Events for September 11, 2004

7:00 AM– Fire Commissioner Nicholas Scoppetta will be joined by Chief of Department Peter Hayden, Chief of Operations Salvatore Cassano and FDNY Chaplain Father Christopher Keenan as they lay a wreath at the Fireman’s Monument at Riverside Drive and 100th Street before heading the WTC site.

8:46 AM – All department apparatus (where applicable) will be pulled onto the street in front of quarters where a moment of silence will be recognized and a prayer will be read by the company officer. (Moments of silence will also take place at 0903,0959 and 1029 in all FDNY facilities)

1:00 PM – Fire Commissioner Scoppetta will attend a memorial service at FDNY Headquarters - 9 Metrotech Center - remembering the members of FDNY killed on 9-11.
