FDNY Chief Medical Officer Dr. Kerry Kelly
and Deputy Chief Medical Officer Dr. David Prezant to Present
Findings at Conference
FDNY Chief Medical Officer Dr. Kerry Kelly and FDNY Deputy
Chief Medical Officer Dr. David Prezant on Sunday, September
12 will make presentations on the 9/11 World Trade Center
health effects among Fire Department members. As part of a
conference sponsored by the Fire Department; New York University’s
Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, Environmental
Lung Health Center and Department of Environmental Medicine;
Mount Sinai Department of Community and Preventative Medicine;
and the federal Environmental Protection Agency, Drs. Kelly
and Prezant will testify on the mental and physical health
of FDNY members three years after the attacks on the World
Trade Center. A variety of presentations—ranging in
topics from “Analysis of WTC Dust Plume” to “Asthma
in Children in Chinatown”—will also be given throughout
the afternoon.
