FIRE COMMISSIONER NICHOLAS SCOPPETTA TO PRESIDE AT PLAQUE DEDICATION CEREMONY FOR FIREFIGHTER THOMAS BRICK

Fire Commissioner Nicholas Scoppetta tomorrow will preside over a plaque dedication ceremony to honor the memory of Firefighter Thomas Brick. The ceremony will take place at the quarters of Brick’s assigned company, Ladder Company 36, in the Inwood section of Manhattan. Firefighter Brick was killed in the line of duty on December 16, 2003 while fighting a four-alarm fire in a furniture and mattress warehouse in upper Manhattan. Members of the Brick family, FDNY Officials, and firefighters assigned to Engine 95 / Ladder 36 will join Commissioner Scoppetta at the ceremony.
