FIRE COMMISSIONER NICHOLAS SCOPPETTA TO OFFICIATE AT PROMOTIONAL CEREMONY FOR 55 MEMBERS OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT
New York City Fire Commissioner Nicholas Scoppetta will preside at a promotional ceremony for 55 members of the FDNY, tomorrow, August 24, 2006. Ten Lieutenants will be promoted to the rank of Captain and forty-five firefighters will be elevated to the rank of Lieutenant. The newly promoted officers will be assigned to divisions throughout the Department.
