FIRE COMMISSIONER SCOPPETTA TO PRESIDE AT GRADUATION CEREMONY FOR 69 NEW FDNY EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIANS

Fire Commissioner Nicholas Scoppetta tomorrow will preside at a graduation ceremony for 69 new Fire Department Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT’s). The new members have completed the Department’s 10-week EMS Academy and will be assigned to various EMS stations throughout the city.

One of tomorrow’s graduates includes EMT Jennifer Hannafey, who is following in the footsteps of her father, EMS Division Chief Robert Hannafey and her mother, EMS Captain Marsha Hannefey. The graduating class also includes five EMT’s who previously served in the military overseas.
