December 30, 2005 - Applications for the first cycle of the “Made in NY” PA Training Program will be available from Brooklyn Workforce Innovations (BWI) this month. If you are interested in applying for the “Made in NY” PA Training Program, please email your full name, mailing address, and email address to productioncareers@fifthave.org. In the Subject Line enter: “Made in NY” PA Training Program. You will be contacted by BWI once the recruitment process begins.
The Mayor’s Office of Film, Theatre and Broadcasting (MOFTB) has partnered with NYC Department of Small Business Services (SBS) and BWI to develop a Production Assistant training program. Beginning in 2006, this four-week full-time intensive training program will consist of a combination of classroom and simulated “on-the-job” instruction. This free training program will train and prepare selected participants to succeed in their first entry-level PA job, network their way to additional hires, and identify opportunities to build their skills and contacts.
