New York City Department of Small Business Services

The Department of Small Business Services (SBS) makes it easier for small businesses to do businesses in New York. Through NYC Business Solutions, SBS offers free, quick and reliable answers to a broad range of business questions. NYC Business Solutions Centers provide a variety of direct services, including classes and one-on-one counseling in business basics, financing and marketing, government procurement, certification for minority or women-owned businesses, and determination of eligibility for City and State cost-savings programs.

SBS’s full-service NYC Workforce1 Career Centers save businesses time and money when recruiting and training employees, finding pre-screened, qualified job candidates and linking to programs designed to improve the skills of your workforce and reduce turnover.

New York City Economic Development Corporation

The New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) helps you do business more effectively, cost-efficiently and profitably in New York City. At www.nycedc.com  you can find a list of nearly 60 business incentives that can help your business grow, including financing options, tax benefits and cost-saving energy programs.

New York Industrial Retention Network

The New York Industrial Retention Network (NYIRN) is a Citywide not-for-profit organization that seeks to promote a diverse economy for all New Yorkers by strengthening New York City's manufacturing sector. NYIRN is committed to an open and inclusive process that brings labor, community, business, and government together to address policy issues, develop programs and deliver services.

Industrial + Technology Assistance Corporation

ITAC is a city and state supported economic development and consulting organization, which provides productivity, profitability, and growth solutions to over 2,000 manufacturing and technology companies in the five boroughs over the last 20 years. Their mandate is to improve the economy of New York City by bringing knowledge and expertise to businesses so they can prosper and grow.

Garment Industry Development Corporation

The Garment Industry Development Corporation (GIDC) is a not-for-profit organization established in 1984 by the City of New York, the Garment Workers’ Union (UNITE HERE!) and the New York Skirt & Sportswear Association to strengthen New York City’s apparel industry. GIDC is a multi-tiered service organization that provides marketing, buyer referrals, training, and technical assistance to New York manufacturers and workers.

Manufacturers Association of New York City

The Manufacturers Association of New York City is a not-for-profit, membership organization representing 11,000 manufacturing companies. MANYC advocates for enhanced business assistance for New York City's manufacturing firms by educating the public sector on the important role manufacturers play in the City's economy.

KeySpan

Specializing in energy-related services, including the installation of heating, air conditioning or water heating systems, KeySpan works with manufacturers to provide innovative natural gas fired products and technologies to help increase energy efficiency and lower costs. KeySpan Energy Delivery’s Economic Development Program helps commercial customers located in state-designated economic development zones reduce costs and improve productivity and market competitiveness.

ConEdison

ConEdison Solutions offers attractively priced and value oriented energy services as well as electricity to commercial, industrial and residential customers. Commercial and industrial customers can select from a wide variety of stand alone or integrated energy management services and solutions, ranging from supply and facility improvement to web-based control and financing.

New York City Investment Fund

The New York City Investment Fund is a private fund with a civic mission. The goal of the Fund is to mobilize the city’s financial and business leaders to help build a stronger, more diversified local economy.
