On Friday, February 3, 2006 the Industrial Business Zone (IBZ) Boundary Commission held a public hearing to receive comments on 16 proposed IBZ boundaries. We were pleased to see that approximately 75 individuals testified at the public hearing. Additionally we received over 50 written comments during the public comment period, which remained open from December 9, 2005 to February 10, 2006. The diverse viewpoints voiced by the public during the comment period helped to guide the Commission as they worked to ratify the IBZ boundaries. On April 6, 2006, the Industrial Business Zone Boundary Commission ratified the IBZ boundaries.
The Mayor’s Office of Industrial and Manufacturing Businesses created a written report addressing the public comments received during the public comment period. The report carefully evaluates any boundary modifications proposed.
