Highlighting the annual Panorama competition that is a part of the West Indian-American Day Carnival festivities, Steel Band Panorama offers an insider's view of the world of steel drum orchestras by featuring interviews with band leaders, historical facts and amazing performances.

Demstars and Caribbean Youth Panoramics
Watch as our host Hallie Jackson explores the world of Pan Culture.  This week she speaks with Anthony Hinds, President of the United States Steel Band Association, and Joseph Franklin Gerald, Band Leader of CYP.

Sesame Flyers and Despers USA
This time around, Hallie sits down with Renee Skeete, Assistant to the Manager of Sesame Flyers, and discusses the experience of being a woman in Pan.  From Despers USA, Kamau Hutchinson and Roger Carter explain what it's like to promote Pan inside and outside the West Indian community.

Crossfire and Pan Sonata
Mack Scott gets into the nitty gritty of running a Steel Band.  Also this week on Steel Band Panorama, Martin Douglas, Band Leader from Crossfire, talks to Hallie about the art form of Pan.  “Who knows,” he tells her, “after awhile, you might fall right into it!”

D’Radoes and Pan Phonics
This week Hallie gets an exclusive insight into the creative process of Pan from Gregory Cox, Arranger for Pan Phonics.  Also, Cyrus Busby tells her a bit about the mission and history of his band, D’Radoes.

Ad-lib and Harmony
This episode is a real treat.  Hallie interviews Lisa Mayer from Ad-lib, while the soft sounds of Pan play in the background.  On top of that, she gets to hear the incredible story Brian Nicholas and how he got involved in carrying on the legacy of his father’s music.

Marsicans and Women in Steel
This week Steel Band Panorama travels outside.  Hallie gets some insight on the administrative side of Pan from Joey Horsford, a committee member of Marsicans.  Also, Colette Baptiste gives Hallie the low-down on Women in Steel, one of the only all female groups in Pan!

Moods and Casym
This episode opens with a terrific look and how Pan music is written, as Hallie speaks to three prominent local arrangers.  She gets a look at how Pan affects the rest of the West Indian community from Deputy Mayor Dennis Wolcott, as he relates some warm memories from the West Indian Day Carnival.

Pan Tonic
The final episode of Steel Band Panorama begins with a look back on the season – including some very special interviews and outtakes.  It closes with a performance by Pan Tonic – the winner of last years Panorama!
