The 47th Precinct is located in the north Bronx and consists of several communities - Woodlawn, Wakefield, Williamsbridge, Baychester, Edenwald, Olinville and Fishbay. It is primarily a residential area with many ethnic groups residing therein, as well as commercial areas located along White Plains Road and Boston Road. Woodlawn Cemetary is located within the confines of the 47 Precinct and it is one of the largest and oldest cemeteries in New York City.
