I am pleased to welcome you to the New York City Center for Mediation Services.

Our goal is to help City government resolve workplace disputes during their initial stages, before positions harden. Conflicts that are left unaddressed, escalate and later require a more formal/disciplinary intervention. For these reasons, we think of ourselves as the “forum of first resort.”

The Center is an independent, neutral organization established by OATH. The Center provides mediation, group facilitation, conflict consultation and training aimed at resolving and managing workplace conflict. The Center employs professional mediators and provides a private, confidential and secure space.
Here on the Center site, you will find much more information about how the Center functions, what we do and how to access our services. If you have any additional questions or would like more information about the Center, please contact the Center Director, Justo A. Sanchez, at 212-442-4920 or via email at jsanchez@oath.nyc.gov If you are scheduled to participate in a mediation and would like to learn more about the process, please click here.
