On October 4, 2007, the Department of Citywide Administrative Services (“DCAS”) held its annual EEO Awareness Breakfast. DCAS Commissioner Martha K. Hirst and Deputy Commissioner Diane Crothers, in celebration of Mediation Settlement Day, recognized OATH’s Center for Mediation Services (“Center”) for its efforts in mediating workplace conflicts citywide stemming from EEO and disciplinary matters.

Additionally, the Health and Hospital Corporation (“HHC”) received an award for its creative use of mediation in helping to resolve workplace conflicts at the Corporation. Assistant Vice President of Labor Relations for HHC, Ann Rozakis, accepted the award on behalf of HHC, and was highly praised for her continued support in this initiative throughout HHC.

The Center congratulates HHC and its staff, as well as the mediation participants, for their hard work, and for affording us the opportunity to be of service.
