The Mediation Process

We welcome you to the NYC Center for Mediation Services, and want to thank you for taking your first step in participating in mediation—a very powerful and self—determining process. By choosing to participate in mediation, you have ultimately decided to take responsibility on how to resolve your dispute. In mediation, every participant is given the opportunity to speak for themselves, and will ultimately decide how to end the dispute. With the assistance of professional mediators, participants can tailor resolutions to their disputes in a private, informal, efficient, voluntary and inexpensive forum.

If you have general questions regarding the process of mediation please explore the links to your right for more information. You may also feel free to contact us whenever you like. If you do not already have our contact information, need directions to the Center, or are trying to schedule a mediation please click here.
