NYC Green Team

New York City Green Team

In order to assist land owners and developers through the proposed NYC Local Brownfield Cleanup Program (LBCP), the Mayor's Office of Environmental Remediation (OER) will introduce the New York City Green Team. The Green Team is an assemblage of city experts whose goal is to assist enrollees in the LBCP to achieve faster, more efficient and more sustainable cleanups and facilitate brownfield redevelopment. The NYC Green Team can assist is several ways. First, it can provide advice on the pursuit of city approvals for necessary cleanup permits, and help shorten the time needed to complete this process. Second, the Green Team can provide expert assistance and guidance to enrollees regarding the incorporation of sustainable elements in the remedial action and brownfield development.

CLean Property Certification Program
 


The New York City Mayor’s Office of Environmental Remediation (OER) is currently developing the New York City Clean Property Certification Program. The certification will signify that a property was investigated and cleaned up under an established regulatory cleanup program and represents the City of New York’s acknowledgement that the property is protective of both public health and the environment.
