Milton Berle was born Milton Berlinger on July 12, 1908
at 68 West 118th Street (between 5th & Lenox Avenues).
He was the fourth child of Moses Berlinger and Sarah
Glantz Beringer.

and white pictures were taken by the City's Department
of Taxes (now called Department of Finance) as part
of its real property appraisal system.

Commissioner Brian G. Andersson met Mr. Berle in October
1999 as he and Sid Caesar became the first inductees
in NBC's "Walk of Fame" in Rockefeller Center. At that
time, Commissioner Andersson presented Mr. Berle with
documents that included this birth certificate and photo
of his birthplace.
