As a single parent, Teofila Agruda was always looking for new opportunities to increase her income.  When Ms. Agruda attended a presentation in her borough about owning and operating vending machines, she knew that it was something she could do, but had no idea where to begin.

Ms. Agruda had many questions about how to launch her business in order to be in compliance with City regulations.  Ms. Agruda was referred to the NYC Business Solutions, Queens Center to get the answers she needed.

With the assistance of NYC Business Solutions, Queens Center account managers, Ms. Agruda obtained the necessary Tax and Employer Identification numbers and opened a business bank account. 

Ms. Agruda now owns three vending machines (one of which sits in the NYC Business Solutions, Queens Center!) and is breaking the vending machine mold by stocking her machines with nutritious snack options.
