Become an Election Day Worker

The NYC Board of Elections is looking to hire thousands of standby poll workers for the election season. If you are interested in working the election days as an inspector, poll clerk, or interpreter, you should check the box in the upper right hand corner of the voter registration form when you register to vote, or call the Board of Elections at (866) VOTE-NYC. Poll workers for the election season will be compensated as follows:

Poll worker application (in PDF).

  • $200.00 per day (from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.).

  • $25.00 for participating in a required poll worker training class.

  • $35.00 bonus for participating in the class and working two elections within the same election year.
