The Mayor’s Office for Nonprofit Services (MONS) is dedicated to strengthening New York City's nonprofit sector. As a first-of-its-kind office, we serve as a bridge between city agencies, nonprofits, and government partners. 

Our mission is to foster thriving communities and ensure the delivery of essential services throughout New York City by supporting and addressing the needs of City agencies and nonprofit organizations.

We drive positive impact through several key priorities: 

• Reducing administrative burdens and ensuring timely payments for nonprofits doing business with the City of New York.
• Building the capacity of small and BIPOC-led organizations to support their growth and sustainability. 
• Utilizing evidence-based approaches to inform policies and programs that effectively address the needs of City agencies and nonprofit partners.
