ATHENS 2004 Olympic Torch Relay
 
One of the 140 Torchbearers carries the Olympic Flame through the streets of New York City.  The ATHENS 2004 Olympic Torch Relay is an historic event that brings the Olympic Flame from ancient Olympia, Greece to New York City and back to Athens in a worldwide journey involving more than 11,000 torchbearers. The New York City portion of the Torch Relay will travel roughly 34 miles through all five boroughs cheered on by New Yorkers and visitors from around the world.
