Mayor Bloomberg Announces Changes That Will Strengthen Safety, Oversight and Coordination of Construction, Demolition and Abatement Operations in New York City
Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg today announced a series of changes in the way demolition and abatement operations are regulated and carried out in New York City. The changes are outlined in a report, Strengthening the Safety, Oversight and Coordination of Construction, Demolition and Abatement Operations, that was presented to the Mayor by a working group led by Deputy Mayor Edward Skyler.

Beat the Heat Wave: OEM Urges NY'ers to Stay Cool
NYC is in for another heat wave this weekend, with temperatures due to climb into the 90s for the next few days. OEM urges NY'ers to take precautions to stay cool. To assist New Yorkers during the heat, cooling centers will be open in all five boroughs Friday, July 18, through Sunday, July 20.
