New Application Requirements Launched in DOB NOW: Build

Effective May 17, 2021, applications in DOB NOW: Build will have the same requirements currently in DOB's Buildings Information System (BIS) for applications subject to Local Law 1 of 2018, Local Law 104 of 2019, Local 114 of 2019, and Mandatory Inclusionary Housing.

Local Law 1 of 2018 and Mandatory Inclusionary Housing (MIH)
Applications for a New Building (NB) or Alteration (Alt-CO and Alt) on a building designated in the Property Profile as HPD: CONH Pilot must be filed as Standard Plan Examination or Review. Applicants must also upload the new HPD4: CONH Pilot Program Building Anti-Harassment Checklist form and any supporting documentation in DOB NOW.

Those applying for a NB or Alt-CO on a building flagged in the Property Profile as MIH will have to submit a Permit Notice issued by the Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) to request a permit and a Completion Notice issued by HPD prior to sign off in DOB NOW. Applicants may submit a waiver request in DOB NOW for the Permit Notice and Completion Notice if the building is not in an MIH area.

Applicants for permits on buildings flagged in the Property Profile as LL 104/19 Permit Restriction will have to certify to an exception to the restriction to proceed with the permit in DOB NOW. See our Service Notice for more details and exceptions.

Get your first dose of the Moderna or Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine by May 23 to be fully vaccinated by the 4th of July. You can also make an appointment for the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine. If you don't have an appointment yet, no problem!
