Dear fellow New Yorker
February was Black History Month. Last week, Mayor Adams hosted a Black History Month reception at Gracie Mansion. We honor the Black New Yorkers whose collective courage has paved the way for a more just society. Mayor Adams invited the Canarsie community to “Talk with Eric” at a neighborhood town hall in Brooklyn. We appreciate all the New Yorkers who came out to share their concerns with the Mayor and city agency Commissioners.

Take the NYC School Survey by April 5!
From now until April 5, New York City Public Schools is asking New York City public school families, teachers, students, and select staff members to access and complete the 2024 NYC School Survey, and let us know what you think about your school.
The NYC School Survey is one of the largest annual surveys conducted in the United States. Available in 10 languages, and open to public school families, teachers, employees serving grades 3–K through 12, and students in grades 6–12, the survey provides us with your feedback about the experiences in public schools. The information provided in the survey can help foster new discussions within school communities that can result in making your schools better places to learn.
This year, the deadline to complete the survey is Friday, April 5. Families can access the survey by logging into their NYC Schools Account (NYCSA) or by going to www.NYCSchoolSurvey.org.
