Dear fellow New Yorker: We hope everyone had a joyous Father’s Day filled with love and appreciation for the significant role they play in our lives. This past week, Mayor Adams hosted a LBGTQ+ pride reception to celebrate our diverse and proud LBGTQ+ community. The City of Stonewall remains unwavering in our commitment to equality and being a safe haven for all. This week, we will celebrate Juneteenth. In addition to celebrating this momentous occasion, it is also a time to reflect on how much work still needs to be done as we commit to finishing the long march towards justice.
Finally, we want to wish Eid Mubarak to our Muslim brothers and sisters. We pray you have a blessed holiday and may the spirit of faith and sacrifice inspire our entire city in the days ahead.
