Dear fellow New Yorker:
June was Caribbean American Heritage Month, and this past week, Mayor Adams hosted a Caribbean-American Heritage reception to acknowledge and thank Caribbean-American New Yorkers for the many contributions they make to enrich our city.
This past weekend, Mayor Adams participated in the Harlem Pride Festival and marched in New York City’s Pride Parade to mark the culmination of Pride Month. It was wonderful to march in the world’s largest and oldest LGBTQ+ Pride march, and join the LBGTQ+ community in their festivities and reaffirm our commitment to equality for all.
Last week, we featured a list of free cultural events across New York City as the summer season starts. This past week, we kicked off our Summer of Possibility initiative. Visit here for information on summer activities such as visiting a pool, enjoying live music, and other outdoor recreations—as well as information on volunteering, finding a job, and more.
Finally, these possibilities are all thanks to the $112.4 billion budget that passed that invests in the future of our city and the working-class people who run it. This is a budget that invests in programs and services for all New Yorkers, and puts key investments in housing, childcare, and health care.

All the best, Fred Kreizman Commissioner, Community Affairs Unit Office of the Mayor |
