DECEMBER: THE MONTH AHEAD
THE PEOPLE’S MONEY Citywide Participatory Budgeting
Thank you for participating in the first phase of The People’s Money! We worked with 82 partners who assisted us in facilitating 523 Idea Generation sessions where we engaged with 12,344 New Yorkers across the city. We also collaborated with Borough Presidents offices and community organizations to host 5 borough-based Idea Generation sessions! You can see the thousands of ideas that were submitted by borough or TRIE neighborhood.
The second phase of this process is Project Evaluation and Ballot Creation. Borough Advisory Committees (BACs) will soon focus on determining which projects meet our feasibility criteria, and then developing these project ideas into ballot proposals! Hundreds of New Yorkers applied to serve on these committees and selections will be made in a way that ensures committees are truly representative of our city.
Visit participate.nyc.gov to find more information about how projects will be evaluated and which projects will be on your ballot!
