Workforce Connect

DYCD is pleased to announce the rebranding of our funded workforce development initiatives as Workforce Connect. Workforce Connect coordinates NYC’s workforce development programs by assisting youth between the ages of 14 and 24 to gain work experience and further their education. Within Workforce Connect, three programs have been rebranded: Learn & Earn (formerly In-School Youth or ISY), Train & Earn (formerly Out-of-School Youth or OSY) and Intern & Earn (formerly the Young Adult Internship Program or YAIP).
Learn more about Workforce Connect by visiting the official DYCD website and be on the lookout for announcements on LinkNYC kiosks in all five boroughs!

Bronx Zoo Day
On July 19, nearly 7,000 participants from DYCD’s Beacon, COMPASS, SONYC, and Cornerstone summer camp programs enjoyed a day of fun at the Bronx Zoo. This is the 12th year the Zoo has hosted the celebration of DYCD summer programs. Operating from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, the camps are designed to offer a holistic summer camp experience with structured theme-based learning activities, trips and recreational experiences. Visits to NYC cultural institutions, like the Bronx Zoo, are just one of many ways young people have the opportunity to explore the City while learning and having fun.
