Applications are now available for the 2020 NYC Ladders for Leaders! This nationally recognized internship program offers outstanding high school and college students, ages 16 – 21, the opportunity to participate in paid summer internships. Visit the official DYCD website to learn more and apply.

Ladders for Leaders Employer Recognition Event

DYCD hosted a Ladders for Leaders Employer Recognition Event to thank its current employer partners and share more about this valuable internship program with prospective stakeholders. Advance & Earn

Advance & Earn Header

Advance & Earn is a new training and employment program from DYCD’s Workforce Connect for youth between the ages of 16-24. The model will offer a continuum of services including literacy and math instruction, HSE test preparation, work readiness training, college and career exploration, paid work experience, advanced occupational training and industry credential attainment supported by case management and wrap-around services. Family Development Credential (FDC) Program

Applications are now available for both the Family Development Credential (FDC) Program for frontline staff and the Family Development Credential Program for Leaders targeting supervisors, managers and directors. These intensive professional development training opportunities emphasize empowerment and family support as a way of delivering human services, education and health to individuals, youth and families. Urban Fellows

Sponsored by the NYC Citywide Administrative Services, the Urban Fellows Program is a highly selective, nine-month fellowship which combines work in Mayoral offices and City agencies with volunteer service opportunities and a seminar series that explores current urban issues impacting public policy. The program is designed to introduce a diverse group of America’s finest college students and graduates to local government and public service. New York Cares Winter Coat Drive

What if you couldn’t get to work, pick up your prescriptions from the pharmacy, or send your child to school this winter? All because you didn’t have a decent coat to wear. This is the reality for many New Yorkers right now. For the last 31 years, New York Cares has channeled the generosity of our City into their annual Coat Drive. Last year they distributed their two millionth coat, and this year their goal is to collect 100,000 new or gently used coats for social service agencies, public schools, transitional housing shelters, and more.

Spring Apollo Theater Internship

The Apollo Theater Academy Spring Internship Program provides high school students in their senior year with opportunities for professional and personal development as they explore administrative and managerial careers in the performing arts and entertainment industries. Doctors Without Borders Internship

Doctors Without Borders is taking applications for their Spring Internship program. With openings in Communications, Development, Program, Human Resources (both for the field and the office), and Executive departments, no matter your major they have an opportunity to start your career.
