The expansion of the Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) is a win-win for both young New Yorkers and employer partners, who can add the energy, creativity, and talent of our city’s future workforce to their offices, storefronts, and hybrid work environments at no cost this summer.

Advance & Earn is a training and employment program from DYCD’s Workforce Connect for youth between the ages of 16 and 24. The model will offer a continuum of services including literacy and math instruction, HSE test preparation, work readiness training, college, and career exploration, paid work experience, advanced occupational training, and industry credential attainment supported by case management and wrap-around services. The Secret Society Dance Company (SSDC) from Astoria traveled to Philadelphia to compete in the “Battle for the Bell” competition and captured first place in two categories.
