12/14: 42nd Street documentary airs on NYC Media
Tune in to NYC Life on Friday, December 14 at 10:00 p.m. to watch the television premiere of Against All Odds: Transforming 42nd Street. Against All Odds tells the story of the economic transformation of the famed 42nd Street in New York City, which in a matter of decades devolved from being the heart of the city's thriving theater district to the city's center of vice and crime. Starting in the early 80s, however, 42nd Street slowly transformed from an area that people avoided at all costs, to one where millions of people pass through each year. This transformation was thanks to continued collaboration between the City of New York, the State of New York, and private developers and investors.
