Safety Programs for Parents, Families and Caregivers
NYC DOT offers vibrant workshops and trainings to help parents, families, and caregivers reduce injuries and keep children safe in New York City's traffic environment and at home.
Car Seat Fittings
Nine out of ten car seats are installed incorrectly. NYC DOT conducts free car seat inspections throughout the city. At each fitting, a trained car seat technician will check your car seat and ensure it is installed correctly. In-person car seat inspections take place during the months of April through October. Virtual car seat checks are scheduled throughout the year.
