With a chilling week of haunting Halloween festivities ahead, I’m proud to share that we also had a thrilling week of record-breaking job numbers. Here’s how we delivered for you this week:
Getting 5,000 citywide nurses trained – Across 28 NYC health care facilities, we led the nation’s first city-based nurse residency program to get 5,000 talented New Yorkers ready to serve our communities. With on-the-job training and support to our newly graduated, newly hired nurses, we wish them the best of luck in their future careers.
Our Halloween-themed Open Streets are ready for you this weekend! Trick-or-Streets is back for another year of car-free trick-or-treating and celebration. We’re also hosting 15 free premier events to bring an immersive Halloween spirit to all five boroughs.
There's still time to locate your unclaimed funds from New York State. Every day, our state returns $1.5 million back to New Yorkers, so check if any of those funds are yours through the secure site.
Eligible Hyundai owners can have their cars updated with free anti-theft software upgrades Saturday and Sunday during a clinic in partnership with the NYPD and the NYC Office of Public Safety. Upgrades should take less than an hour – learn more about them here. Those not eligible for upgrades can pick up a free anti-theft device.
