Good evening New Yorkers,
Here at City Hall, we stay focused and lead with compassion. Voting in the 2024 New York presidential primary begins this Saturday, March 23! Check your registration and make a plan of how you’ll vote: early, by mail, or on Election Day (Tuesday, April 2).
We’re holding water bill dodgers accountable for sticking working-class families with the bill. The city issued 2,400 water shutoff notices to chronically-delinquent customers who owe over $102 million in unpaid bills, including hotels, office buildings, and retail spaces.
If you’re over 62 years old or have a disability, you may be able to freeze your rent! This would stop your rent from increasing, helping you save money and stay in your home. I encourage you to check out the program or spread the word to the older loved ones in your lives. -
NYC Ferry starts operating on its spring schedule next Saturday, March 30. They're increasing reliability during peak hours and resuming service between South Brooklyn and Governors Island. Plan a trip, and don’t forget to see if you’re eligible for their discount programs.
