Rehabilitation Medicine
The Rehabilitation Medicine Department offers a full range of specialized services and special programs that include:
- Electrodiagnostic Laboratory for Electromyography-EMG and Nerve Conduction Studies (testing for nerve and muscle injuries)
- Prosthetic Clinic (artificial limbs)
- Orthotic Clinic (braces)
- Pediatric Rehabilitation Program (outpatient)
- Cybex Evaluation and Therapy (muscle strength testing)
- Outdoor Mobility and Safety Program, including training in car transfers and simulated street crossing areas
- Arthritis Program
- Hand Therapy Program and Splint Shop
- Wheelchair Evaluation
- Computer Assisted Cognitive Evaluation and Therapy (competency testing and treatment)
- Access to Geriatric Mobile Psychiatry Unit for Home Therapy and follow-up post discharge
- Cardiac Rehabilitation
- Osteoporosis Therapy Program (bone disease)
- Audiology Evaluations (hearing tests)
