COMMUNITY MEDICAL CENTERS

MAIN MENU > COMMUNITY MEDICAL CENTERS

In the mid-1990s the Queens Health Network (QHN) began integrating HHC Family Health Services and Communicare Centers throughout Queens into a borough-wide healthcare delivery system that would provide a full continuum of care. Through the acquisition and renovation of these original sites and the opening of new ones, QHN demonstrate its commitment to expand accessible, quality primary care to the neighborhoods of Queens, with direct access to our hospital-based specialty care and diagnostic services.

The opening of four new QHN Medical Centers in 2000 marks not only QHN’s growth as a network, but also demonstrates its vision and innovation as a public healthcare provider. Two of the new facilities – at Junction Boulevard in Corona and South Conduit Avenue in Springfield Gardens -- are Women’s Health Centers that are co-located with complementary pediatric services provided by private practice physicians and use a private-practice model of personalized attention.

These unique public/private partnerships thus provide comprehensive medical services for women and children in a comfortable private office setting at one convenient location.

The new QHN Medical Center at Springfield Gardens and new QHN Family Medical Center at Sunnyside offer pediatric, adult and OB/GYN services and use a private-practice model of personalized attention. The Sunnyside Center additionally offers several specialty services on-site, including ophthalmology, rehabilitation medicine and mental health.

Appointments may be made by calling directly each medical center.
