EHC staff work diligently to make certain that our patients are comfortable and there are no barriers to care. Elmhurst offers interpreting services for non-English speaking persons-- the hospital will make every effort to provide an interpreter to ensure proper communication between patient and physician. Interpreters also help patients communicate with other hospital staff. If an interpreter is needed, the staff will contact the Language Bank. Sign language interpretation can also be arranged.

Elmhurst Hospital Center offers the New York State managed care insurance programs for low income families including, Family Health Plus, Child Health Plus and Prenatal Care Assistance Program (PCAP). We accept Medicare and Medicaid Managed Care and are proud provider of MetroPlus Health Plan. Through these initiatives EHC has been able to qualify a large portion of our community for health insurance allowing us to increase access to health care.
