EIGHT RESIDENTIAL BUILDINGS IN BATTERY PARK CITY'S SOUTH NEIGHBOHOOD TO RE-OPEN TOMORROW MORNING

Residents Can Return to Apartments on Foot


Mayor Giuliani announced today that eight residential buildings in Battery Park City's South Neighborhood will be open to residents at 8 a.m. tomorrow morning, Saturday, September 22nd .

The eight buildings opening tomorrow are:

Liberty Terrace, 380 Rector Place

Battery Point, 300 Rector Place

Liberty Court, 200 Rector Place

South Cove Plaza, 50 Battery Place

River Watch, 70 Battery Place

Cove Club, 2 South End Avenue

The Regatta, 21 South End Avenue

Liberty View, 99 Battery Place

Four more buildings in the South Neighborhood will open within the next week.

On Monday, September 24th

The Soundings, 280 Rector Place

Hudson View East, 250 South End Avenue

On Tuesday, September 25th

River Rose, 333 Rector Place

On Wednesday, September 26th

Liberty House, 377 Rector Street

The remaing buildings - Gateway, Hudson Towers, Hudson View West, and Parc Place, are not yet ready for occupancy. Residents should contact their building Management for updates in status.

South neighborhood residents can enter Battery Park City via Battery Place. Only pedestrian traffic will be allowed. Residents should check with their building Managers for details about their building.

The BPCA is working with the OEM and building managers to resolve other problems and re-open the remaining buildings.
