Notification of Construction Impacting a Parking Meter
If construction is taking place on blocks with NYC DOT parking meters, or if construction may reduce metered parking space(s), you must inform NYC DOT via our webform. This form must be submitted for all construction locations that impact metered parking spaces or the physical meter.
Allow 15 business days after webform submission for NYC DOT to conduct necessary meter work. Complications due to the context of specific requests may extend that timeline.
NYC DOT will review your submission and contact you to confirm how many meters will be removed or relocated and the total fee.
There is a nonrefundable $500 removal fee per meter. This fee covers the removal or relocation and reinstallation of the meter. Make payments via check or money order to NYC DOT.
Complete one webform for each side of the block ("blockface") impacted by construction. The form below is for a single blockface. After submitting this form for one location or blockface, you will have the option to add more blockfaces to the same project or submit other locations for a different project.
