Remarks by Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg at a Public Hearing on Local Laws

“The next bill before me is Introductory Number 1140-A, sponsored by Council Members Oddo, Fidler, Gentile, James, Koo, Koppell, Rose, Dromm, Van Bramer and Gennaro.

“This legislation prohibits the posting of signs on City-owned grassy areas adjacent to a street.

“I would like to thank Department of Sanitation Commissioner John Doherty and his staff for their work on this bill along with my office of City Legislative Affairs. I would also like to thank the City Council for approving this legislation.”
