Just after 8:00 A.M. this morning, Mayor Bill de Blasio and Schools Chancellor Carmen Fariña visited the Urban Assembly School for Wildlife Conservation in the Bronx. They met with educators, students, parents, school safety agents, union leaders and police officers. He spoke at a morning assembly attended by 95 teachers. The Mayor spoke about his time as a public school parent and thanked teachers and staff for supporting their students through this difficult time. The Mayor also inspected the school’s new temporary security scanners. The Mayor departed the school at 8:48 A.M.
