Host: So what are you most proud of from this year?
Mayor Eric Adams: Our records. My amazing deputy mayors and how they were able to move from housing to public safety to revitalizing our economy. An amazing team. Thank you to them. They're going to be dropping the ball with me tonight.
Host: That's awesome. So as we look towards 2025, what is most on your mind? You know, what resolutions are you setting for the City of New York?
Mayor Adams: I was, you know, just spending some good times with my son Jordan. Jordan was performing today and I'm hoping all of our families spend more time together. If you're out here with your children, your spouses, this is a moment where we should reflect on the importance of family and I'm excited about 2025. We have more records to break and we're going to make it happen.
Host: What are you looking forward to most with New York City in 2025?
Mayor Adams: To bring it about the economy, housing, affordability, employment, jobs. We cut unemployment in many of the communities in the city. We want to continue to do that. People should see their future in this amazing city. There's only one place to be in this country and that's New York City.
Host: That's right. Now I understand that 2025 marks the 400th anniversary of New York City. 400 years of New York City. So how is the city celebrating this miles
tone?
Mayor Adams: Well, first I want to say happy New Year's to everyone and it's great to be here. This milestone, we have a 400-year anniversary celebration Founded by NYC and we got a nice little video for folks to see and play as well. All right, let's take a look.
